Real Freedom is not Fruit of understading! But Real Understanding if fruit of Freedom!

The size of reverence that you find in your heart represents the size of the chalice with which you receive Grace.

If your Love is Pure or at least, if those motivations conecting to that is Pure, it will be received. Everybody has their own Dharma, God has His Dharma also, and His Dharma is Love. When Love is Pure, God has to come, or better yet… when Love is Pure, God can be Recognized!

There's this sentence more or less: “Many are called, few are chosen”. I would make a slight change in this... Many are called, few embrace that calling, few dedicate completely to that calling, few elect themselves to follow that calling. More suitable. A seeker of Truth is the one who has a calling. Not a calling to secure his future, not a calling for safety, not a calling for acceptance, for love, for all those things. But the calling for the Truth for the source, for infinite Divine love. A calling that disturbs his heart, disturbs his peace, that makes him just flip his life upside down, if needed, searching for something he doesn't really know what it is.

For those of you who have been walking on the fence, who have been struggling, being distracted, doing a lot of things less responding to your calling, understand one thing: I know that for many of you it seems a little uncomfortable if something disturbs your plans... And many feel, when the calling arrives, a dissatisfaction with the world, a difficulty in participating, in giving credibility etc. And they struggle to be able to stay in that world and still be able to fight for the values that the world has. So the calling is a kind of bother. Many struggle to make it disappear, to forget it completely. But the time you remain not answering, not rising to the requested level, getting distracted, that is disrespect to the calling. And the biggest interest is yours, nobody else. So by turning your back on the calling, you are turning your back on yourself, on your life purpose, on your Dharma, on the great story you had to live, on Glory, on communion with the Divine. And when you turn your back on that, what do you have left?

Self-Realization or God Realization? I underline “God Realization” because of the mental state of the seekers these days, so this Self-Realization has been chosen for the wrong reasons, because there is difficulty with devotion, with real devotion, with surrender... These words, they make people tremble, they want the simple cold version that protects the character, enhances the character. Something for the character to achieve Self-Realization. So this is why I underline “God Realization”. They are the same, but some of you can see that God-Realization as a meaning just a little bit, and the other one is more. Oh, this is more nice...
It is a love story, a beautiful love story that's what it is. There it's nothing else besides it, so eventually, if the spiritual practice has to evolve, it will become a living love story.

The best periods of the Spiritual work it is when crises arises… everything else is just waiting for it, creating the circumstances for the chaos to arise. It is like you are building a boat, and it seems nice, strong… but it has to be tested, it has to go through the storm. And the storm always comes! It cannot be avoid and there is no reason for it also. Because the storm allows you to go beyond your limitations. And when you have lived enough of this going beyond your limitations, you will look at some others limitations in a different way: they will not have the power that they had previously.

Make the best use out of your time because your time is very precious. You have no idea how precious it is. It shouldn't be wasted in the kind of life that seekers are wasting it right now... because for some little drops of honey you are throwing away an ocean of bliss and that's not a good bargain.
A seeker of Truth has no problem with suffering. He has a problem with wasting time, with suffering just to feed his delusion. But he has no problem with suffering, with enduring pain.

Seeker: Meditation is the process to love God, nature, to love all beings and non-beings, for example : human beings, birds, animals, plants, rivers, oceans, hills, earth, water, fire, spirits, air, sky, sun, moon, stars, means love all… start meditation today and you won’t believe it.
Sriman Narayana: I hear the violins playing in the background… yes there is this idea about meditation and eventually really is about all, but the all is not made of parts. So these ideas, are very romantic ideas about meditation. And you can meditate for this purpose, but this has nothing to do with the Quest for Truth.
Seeker: Nothing greater than God’s love in this world.
Sriman Narayana: Yes it is true, but to see this, this is the difficult part. So all these romantic ideas they fade away and cannot go through these difficult moments that meditation allows; the direct vision of what is there, instead of what you have fancy to be there. Therefore, if you are just imagining that spiritual practices is about feeling good, feeling in love, in harmony, in tune... remember that is the end of it, not the beginning, no! not the middle of it, no! Just the end, just the end…

Pure Devotion is the Devotion that is detached from personal beliefs, free from preferred circumstances...
Superficial Devotion is circumstantial Devotion, the Devotion that depends on external factors.
In the majority of seekers this superficial Devotion is more common. Love grows intensely apparently, but it depends on the sweetness of the Guru, on the understanding and accordance with the teachings, and if all is in order in the Disciple vision then that love is enormous.
In reality it doesn't matter the size or intensity of superficial Devotion, it's nothing, just dust, that will not support the journey of the seeker of Truth, only embellishes the dreams of the seeker of well-being.
When Devotion is increasing, eventually it will be tested in some form, usually going against the seekers beliefs, changing the circumstances that support that Devotion, changing the tone of sweetness...
Superficial Devotion tends to crumble and doubts take its place, making that immense love to cool down, making the love disappear. Real Devotion withstands the tests and gets stronger after them. There's also the possibility of that superficial Devotion to transform into Real Devotion, but that's rare.
Work as hard as you can strengthening your Devotion and Surrender, so that when those tests come you can take the best and enhance your growth.

Devotion is the fire, where pride, vanity, personal importance, attachments, greed, envy are the wood, the fuel. Not to be loved, but for love, for loving, to love.

Each day remember it is the meditation of the day and of the next days that you are preparing. Not just of today but the next days. So your attitude will influence the practice that you will have next. It is a constant focus that is needed so that the practice can grow, so that your spiritual process can gain life. Without it, it's difficult. And it is 24/7. The more focus you are the more it will grow, the fire will intensify. The more you are distracted, you will have the periods of meditations that something is trying to sprout and the rest of the time it will just be blurred, gray, nothing will be there.

So it's like always trying to make a fire like you are in the wilderness, you are trying to make fire with your hands, with some wood or something and as you are trying to get some smoke you stop it and go do something else and after a few hours you come back again. Everything is cold again and you continue and you will never see a big fire. Just occasional smoke and you will imagine that that occasional smoke is fire, is something very good but it's not, it's just a little bit of smoke and very far away from fire.

So remember, resilience, commitment, holding your grounds. These are very important traits that you need to cultivate in yourself or else just wasting time, wasting time and somewhere at some point in it, it will hurt you this wasting time. Because you won't be blind forever and as the life of the body starts to fade away, as the time of departure comes closer, these reality checks will be more present and this will bring pain. I have seen this again and again. So if it is spring then plant, there will be a good harvest.

The seeker of Truth will always arise, if he is there. He may have difficulties, he may fall down a lot of times, but eventually, if the Quest for Truth is really the most important thing, it will surface. So if you see with the eyes of a seeker of well being, you will see a lot of options. But it is difficult for this kind of a seeker to see what things really are because he is still busy with a lot of things. He's not really testing. He just adds things, and moves on. There is a lot on his mind. He is full of afflictions, full of plans and investments for happiness, and all of these. So his questions are also superficial. And what he can get is superficial. But it is good for this purpose, for this New Age that is coming.

One of the biggest obstacles in the spiritual path is doubt! Doubt in oneself, in one's path, in the guru, in the goal, etc.. it's like a dark cloud that blocks the vision of the sun. Its a mechanism of self protection from the mind to maintain illusion. Whit time if credit is given to it, it destroys the seekers efforts towards freedom. The only way to counter doubt is to burn it in the fire of devotion. Fill your heart all the time with the love of God casting away all negativity. This is the way to completely transcend doubt.

The purification process that meditation unleashes it is also about burning samskaras. For those who know, samskaras are the mental impressions that are behind karma, that creates the future, shapes personality - that's one aspect; but also, as samskaras are still there, they have to be experienced, enjoyed. There's no other way, unless they are burned into the fire of meditation. So this karma that has given rise to this body has to be lived, there's no deviating from that. If you're enlightened or not, you will have to live it. The difference is if you're not enlightened you're living it, if you're enlightened the body mind is living it. That's all. And then it stops, and the other one continues. So this one is unavoidable on this linear journey.
Usually, ordinary people, seekers of well-being, usually move in flocks. So, wherever the crowd is going, the seeker of Truth will go to the opposite. It is not so difficult. Anything that suits the majority is not really the case for him. Because Guidance is not for a group. Guidance is individual. It is direct to your particular needs. When Guidance is given indirectly, it is because you are not yet ready to receive it directly. Guidance can apparently come from a body, or it can come from inside, but it will have the same characteristics. It only comes to the seeker of Truth.

In the last part of the Quest for Truth, direct guidance is a need and it's much more bitter and intense than through the means of an embodied one (master). Because with that embodied one you can still bargain a little bit, you can still have a conversation, things can be explained if you're ready to understand it and if it will not affect the end result... Sometimes they cannot be explained also, but direct guidance there is no explanation, and you will be put through situations not just towards one body, but to a lot of different ones. So if you have problem being humble to one, you will learn to be to 50 or 100. It is much more intense, as I have explained previously, and for the majority unattainable.

So what the majority does is this make believe that "I am having a conversation with God, and I'm being guided by Him and nothing comes to question me, so good..." And they humble themselves to that infinite consciousness and all of that. A big ego lowering itself to the high consciousness is good, is easy... Even a big warrior bows down to his superior! But it doesn't bring dissolution.

While you’re taking care of your life, your attunement with God will be very little, it will be in the gaps and very superficial. This is because there is no direct dependency, there is no surrender. It is as if you are in control, choosing the options and the direction of your life. Moved, of course, by your ambitions, fears, attachments, greed, aversions, etc. And that is a common life.

It is these Mundane values that are behind this darkness period… As a society, for example, in the west, life has become completely useless. For the majority there’s nothing more than just to live, to work, to eat and nothing left, nothing else; just to be safe or whatever. There is no vision about spirituality, the quest for Freedom/money is the greatest aspiration of all of these things.
For the majority of you those values are the only ones that are there, and you just look around as before, life was more difficult. It was more difficult to accomplish these desires for security, stability, money and all of this things; because it would take a long time to have your own house, build the family... and now everything is faster. So this recognition of emptiness of all these things is quicker to be there present.
You see, in a time where life couldn’t be more easy... For example, compared to your grandparents epoc, it is much more easier to get whatever you are aspiring. However the number of depression have been increased one thousand fold... All of this, because of these mundane values. So in spirituality this transition is very difficult, for some more difficult than for others; and this is what is behind these dark periods.

The more you know, the more responsibility you have. So depending on your level of sincerity, the level of difficulty will also be presente. Let me explain. It's not that: “Well, I'm not going through here, not doing the things that need to be done because I'm naive, because I don't really know, I'm not mature enough". Okay, fine... But understand that it always becomes more difficult. Because the more you know, the more you wait, the intensity of what needs to come has to increase to get the same result. And to be worthy again of the spiritual life, of the life of the process to be there; if you have been disrespecting that by what you know, then it will be more difficult. And this will mean that you’ll have to persist more, you’ll have to prove that you really mean business.

So depending on what you've been doing, if you want to take it serious, and you want to intensify, but you see that it's not making really a difference, that means you need to intensify even more and persist. And no matter what difficult things come in front of you, you need to continue. That will be your way at putting things into the right place, of dealing with that disrespect. Because if you knew, if the level of maturity is still there, but you are knowingly diverting yourself from your path, entertaining yourself with other things, this is disrespect. Respect and honoring your spiritual path has its fruits, disrespecting it has its fruits also. Not that is doomed, but it will be more difficult, even to test your resolve.

Closing yourself in meditation is very revealing, for sure. You will see the other investments, there will be a need to to go somewhere, talk to someone to ask for something... And this will be revealing to you because these are the foods that you use to keep the lion sleeping, so that it doesn't come and eats your head. And these are the things that you will be cutting. Then your chaos will emerge, will rise to limits that appear to be unbearable. But there's no such thing as unbearable, only if you believe that it is; it may appear to be, but if you don't believe it, then it is bearable.

Your spiritual practice is giving you, by far, the best message, the best one you can have: Do you feel the fire? Is it so intense that you have difficulties in breathing? Is your heart being overflowed? Are things moving so fast you have difficulty in catching up the pace? Is it one test after the other, one is closed, another one is already there? Well, your spiritual practice is giving you the message of how things are really going. Either you take up the message or you ignore it. It's up to you.

There's a phenomenon that is more or less like individual mind starts getting shared, it's like it's getting crossed with the people that are in your environment, in your proximity, and sharing happens. So whoever you're living with, this is the important part: what are you getting out of them? If you're living with a worldly person, you will get a worldly mind, worldly goals, worldly motivations. And those things that didn't make any sense for you, will start making sense more and more. And the more you stay with them, the more it will make sense for you, all this apparatus, all the life, the worldly life and the goals and motivations. So there is a sharing, it's unavoidable. And you may and most of you will say that: Oh but I'm helping those who are around me by being here because I'm sharing my good nature with them. But those arguments are from the fool who doesn't understand that he is as lost as anyone else. He may have these good qualities, but they are a help that he has, it's not done yet. And as he stays there, he is also confirming to others around them, like they are confirming to him, that that is the most important thing in life.

Temptation is a very important vehicle in the Quest for Truth because it separates those who really want from those who don't want it so much, or that want it for the wrong reasons. So temptation plays a big role in making that selection, and this is why it is there. So logic that seekers abide tends to reveal their real values, their real motivations, and each one can access their real motivations by observing their logic. And if they're not too busy defending their own logic, they can observe it and have a clear vision of their motivations and then decide if these motivations are the most suitable for the spiritual path or not.

Seeker: Tell me Narayana, how much silence is necessary for awakening? Better yet, to awaken the Seeker of Truth? If I am I, I still hesitate, even if I say and affirm repeatedly like a mantra I am, I hesitate ... How much silence is still necessary? How much? ...
Sriman Narayana: From the seeker's silence emerge the screams of his own illusion! The seeker of comfort avoids them, pretends they are nothing, waits for them to pass ... The seeker of Truth embraces them, even if he travels to the deepest agony, he doesn’t stop until he breaks free from his fears! Silence is the light that shows the illusion, and fears are the guardians of it. If silence does not show these fears, then it is not yet silence! If the seeker doesn’t embrace them, then he is not yet a seeker of Truth! The seeker of comfort suffers much more and for longer periods, and will inevitably be "forced" to face his fears ... and the seeker of Truth suffers just a short time, though intensely, then Freedom, Joy! Empty your cup of individuality and all your beliefs / fears, know who You truly Are!
